In the heart of Brighton’s cosmopolitan North
Laine, a stone’s throw from the central Clock Tower,
you’ll find our flagship store and bakery. We first
opened here in 1999, and quickly built a loyal following. Two
years later, we knocked through into a large warehouse at
the rear of the shop in which we set up Sussex’s first
and only dedicated bagel bakery.
The shop is open seven days
a week, and every bagel is made fresh to order from premium
ingredients. We have an extensive menu of filled bagels, breakfast
specials, melts, felafel, soups and salads to take-away and
there is also a curvy, blonde-wood sit-up bar where weary
shoppers can refresh themselves with a bagel and coffee or
juice while enjoying the passing parade of funky Brightonians!

Opened in January 2007, our newest incarnation is set in the bustling heart of Brighton’s historic South Lanes. Our bagels still have that fresh-from-the-oven pizzazz because it’s only a few minutes walk from our Bond Street bakery. (We just couldn’t resist the constant calls for another Bagelman on the south side of North St!) We serve the same wholesome made-to-order bagels here, and the same mouthwatering menu, plus a darn fine range of freshly brewed Fairtrade coffees, teas and hot chocolates.
Being the baby of our chain we have, of course, lavished our attentions on the design. There’s a zesty orange and burgundy linoleum floor, two curve-hugging blonde wood sit-up bars and some comfy leather-topped diner stools, perfect for perching, slurping, snacking, yacking and generally partaking in the sophisticated South Lanes vibe.

In the heart of Hove, along the town’s main
road from central Brighton, Bagelman has been serving bagels
restaurant-style in our daytime diner since the summer of
2004. Alongside our regular menu of freshly-filled bagels,
we also serve a tempting range of traditional delicacies including
hot salt beef sandwiches, home-made pickles, felafel in pitta,
authentic chicken & matzo ball soup and our famous potato
& onion latkes, all made on the premises.
We also offer a range of home-baked cakes such as lemon drizzle
and apple & cinnamon strudel, alongside a full compliment
of freshly-brewed coffees, espressos and speciality teas.

Brighton’s
own authentic bagel bakery is situated immediately behind
our Bond Street shop, baking fresh throughout the day, seven
days a week. From here, our chef and bakers tirelessly create
our famous deli-style fillings, homemade salads and soups.
The bakery building also houses our head office and purpose-built
outside catering kitchen from which a dedicated team produce
a steady stream of filled bagels and mouthwatering buffet
platters to order. |

our dedicated outside catering kitchen, we produce a full
range of filled and wrapped bagels, supplied daily to
seven Brighton & Sussex University outlets. We also produce
a delicious range of buffet bagel & sandwich platters
to order, together with a choice of fruit & savoury finger
food, great for meetings events.
